GLENS FALLS - Downtown Glens Falls was hopping after Wednesday night’s Phish concert at the Civic Center.
That's good news for the Civic Center that's struggling to stay open.
More than 7,500 people had tickets.
City leaders had been working on a plan to manage the traffic and the crowd.
Mayor Jack Diamond says it was a good opportunity to show the concert promoter Glens Falls can put on a successful show even without hockey.
"We're putting our best foot forward. We want to build a relationship with Live Nation to bring other venues of this magnitude to the City of Glens Falls," Diamond said.
Wednesday was the band’s first time back to the Civic Center since 1994.
