Police find 80 pounds of pot during traffic stop

Dustin Smith, 24, of Ellenburg, is charged with possession of marijuana.

New York State Police

CLIFTON PARK – State Police in Clifton Park arrested a North Country man after they say they found 80 pounds of marijuana in his car.

Troopers pulled over Dustin Smith, 24, of Ellenburg on the Northway.

Troopers discovered more than 80 pounds of packaged pot in two hockey equipment bags. They also found a number of hydrocodone pills.

Smith was charged and remanded to county jail in lieu of bail.
