Time Warner Cable wants people to be able to get a hold of their families in the Philippines.

It’s waving the cost for Home Phone and Business customers who place calls to the country destroyed by Typhoon Haiyan.

Calls can be placed to landline or mobile numbers.

Time Warner Cable won’t charge for those calls through the end of November, and will make the gesture retroactive to November 8.

Credits will be issued for any calls charged, customers don’t have to make any changes to their accounts to be able to place a free call.

Time Warner has also made The Filipino Channel free for all digital TV subscribers through November 15 to keep customers better connected about the typhoon recovery efforts.
