Snow buries Berkshire County

PIITSFIELD,Mass. -- Ten to 16 inches, depending on elevation, blanketed Berkshire County. 

The storm meant schools were canceled, many municipal offices delayed opening, the Berkshire Museum was closed and some stores didn't unlock their doors on time. 

Fortunately, the digging out went quickly and Berkshire County's youngest residents headed to the hills for sliding.
