A judge has ruled that the testimony of two jailhouse informants will be heard at the trial of a North Adams man charged with killing three Pittsfield men.

An attorney for 47-year-old David Chalue requested that the judge dismiss jailhouse admissions as testimony.

Two inmates allege Chalue admitted to the killings.

The attorney says statements made by informants about his client are irrelevant and prejudicial.

Chalue is accused of helping kidnap, torture and kill three men in August of 2011.

The ringleader, Adam Lee Hall, was convicted in February and is serving three life sentences.
