ALBANY - A rally to end gun violence was held at the NYS Capitol on Tuesday.
The rally included New Yorkers against Gun Violence, along with state legislators and student advocates from the New York City area – many who live in neighborhoods that have seen gun violence first hand.
Demonstrators thanked Governor Cuomo for passing the NY SAFE Act, but still want to see tighter gun laws.
Among them – the passage of Nicholas’s Law, named after Nicholas Naumkin.
The 12-year-old Saratoga Springs boy was accidentally shot and killed while he and his friend played with a gun in 2010.
They would also like to see microstamping, which would print a unique code on every shell fired.
