A new, New York State program designed to encourage high school students to pursue high-demand, high-tech careers has been launched.
It's called the Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics incentive program, or STEM.
The program provides a full SUNY or CUNY tuition scholarship to the top 10 percent of students in every high school in the state.
The qualifying students will have to major in a STEM field and work in a STEM job in the state for five years after graduation.
