A bizarre turn of events in Berkshire County, where a guilty verdict is reached in the trial of David Chalue, only to be reversed moments later.
NewsChannel 13’s media partners at The Berkshire Eagle report the jury found Chalue guilty on all counts.
As his family wept in court, the judge was asked to poll the jury.
One of the jurors said she did not support the verdict.
The judge then sent the jury back to resume deliberations.
He rejected a motion for a mistrial.
Chalue is accused of taking part in a triple homicide in 2011 in Pittsfield.
The jury is now in its fourth day of deliberations.
