Bipartisan deal could send $520 million in STEM money

TROY - The Capital Region may soon get a new wave of federal funding to support the growth of new science and technology jobs.

U.S. Senator Kirsten Gillibrand announced a bi-partisan deal that would send about $520 million to this region.

She talked about this new, potential funding at RPI on Monday morning.     The goal, Senator Gillibrand says is to turn innovative discoveries into new small businesses or a partnership with existing businesses.
