NORTHUMBERLAND – Two men are under arrest after police say they were speeding down Route 50 in Northumberland and crashed into a home, injuring a toddler.

Police say Nicholas Gage tried to pass Brandon Medina when he lost control of his car and hit Medina’s vehicle. That sent Medina’s car across a yard where it struck a packed car and a home before coming to rest in the woods nearby.

The crash caused the ceiling of the home to come down and strike a toddler named Max in the head while he slept.

Medina and the toddler were taken to Saratoga Hospital with minor injuries.

Gage suffered a broken leg and was taken to Albany Medical Center.

Max was struck in the head when the ceiling of his home crashed down while he slept.
