SARATOGA SPRINGS – Police say a restaurant worker was stabbed in the back with a carving knife by a co-worker at Circus Café in Saratoga Springs.

It happened around 7:45 p.m. Monday night in the kitchen of the restaurant.

Police say David Hernandez got into a fight with a 34-year-old co-worker during business hours.

Hernandez is accused of repeatedly punching the man in the face and then stabbing him in the back with a 10-inch carving knife.

The victim is in stable condition at Albany Medical Center.

Police say the restaurant was full of patrons at the time, but no one else was injured.

Hernandez was arrested and will be in court on Tuesday to answer to the charges.
