PITTSFIELD, Mass. – A North Adams man is accused of stealing thousands of dollars’ worth of baby formula in order to feed a drug addiction.
NewsChannel 13’s media partners at the Berkshire Eagle report that 28-year-old Timothy Conn pleaded not guilty to felony larceny charges.
The assistant district attorney in Berkshire County says Conn has been connected to the theft of more than $2,800 worth of baby formula from the Price Choppers in Lenox and Great Barrington.
Police say Conn takes the formula to Springfield where he sells it to feed his drug addiction.
There is reportedly a thriving black market in baby formula. Drug dealers cut heroin and cocaine with the product to increase their profits.
