Ruth H. Mahoney is New York East market manager for Key Private Bank. She is responsible for all of the banking, investment and trust needs of affluent individual clients in the Capital Region, Hudson Valley and New York City. She is based at Key’s district headquarters at 66 South Pearl St.

Mahoney rejoined Key in 2006 after working 10 years with Bank of America (formerly Fleet Bank) in Albany, where she served as senior vice president and city executive. She originally joined Key in 1991 as a member of Key’s Management Associate Program.

Mahoney earned her bachelor’s degree in business administration and marketing with a minor in communications from Marist College in Poughkeepsie, N.Y. She holds Series 7 and 63 licenses and is a certified trust and financial advisor. She has been honored by the Albany-Colonie Chamber of Commerce’s Women’s Business Council as a Woman of Excellence (2004), the Business Review as a Forty under 40 award winner (2003) and the Hope House Funding Corporation as a Circle of Hope recipient (2003). She is a former team captain of the Marist College Women’s Division I basketball team and was also a member of the 1987 European Championship Irish National Basketball Team.

Mahoney resides in Loudonville with her husband and son. An active member of the Capital Region community, she is a founding member and serves on the steering committee of the Women’s Fund of the Capital District 2006. She is also a board member of the United Way of the Greater Capital Region, the Albany Institute of History and Art,  St. Pius X School. Additionally, Mahoney is an alum and past co-chair of the Albany-Colonie Chamber of Commerce’s Capital Leadership Program. Ruth is currently a member of the Albany-Colonie Chamber of Commerce’s Finance & Audit committee.
