ALBANY, N.Y. (AP) - Under Gov. Paterson's proposed budget cuts, hospitals across the state stand to lose more than $770 million in state funding over the next two years.
That's according to the Health Care Association of New York.
The health care industry group warns that medical services in New York would be cut and access to treatment would be more limited under Paterson's plan.
The organization has issued new data that offers a breakdown of losses by region and how much each hospital would lose.
Strong Memorial Hospital in Rochester would lose more than $3 million and Erie County Medical Center in Buffalo would lose about $1.5 million.
The governor's office says the state Division of Budget is still reviewing the numbers released by the hospital association.
