Beth has been a broadcast journalist for nearly 20 years, joining NewsChannel 13 in May 2007.
Her work has taken her across the country and overseas. Starting her career in Aspen, Colorado, she then reported for the ABC affiliate in Syracuse. In 1989 Beth became a foreign correspondent with the PBS program, "European Journal," based in Germany. When the Berlin Wall came down, Beth reported extensively in Eastern Europe.
Beth then covered news across New York State as the anchor and senior reporter for the news magazine "Broadcast: New York," which aired on WNYT in the early 1990s. She also produced three national documentaries for A&E's "Investigative Reports" series and won a fellowship with the Education Writers Association to produce a local PBS documentary.
Beth's next stop was San Diego, California. Working as a news anchor and consumer/investigative reporter for the NBC station, Beth won three regional Emmys, a Golden Mike and numerous Press Club and Society for Professional Journalists awards.
Back in the Capital Region, Beth taught journalism at The New School of Radio & Television, Siena College and the University at Albany before joining the team at NewsChannel 13.
Beth is a native of Canastota, N.Y. and a graduate of the University of Minnesota. She lives with her husband and three young sons in Saratoga Springs. She also volunteers for the organization "Saratoga Reads!" which promotes the community-wide reading of books.
