Cynthia LaFave
 

Besides being an active and prominent trial attorney, Ms. LaFave is also extremely involved in the legal community.  She is presently Vice President of the New York State Academy of Trial Lawyers for the Third Judicial Department.  She is the past President of the Capital Region Affiliate of the New York State Trial Lawyer’s Association;  President of the Albany County Bar Association; a delegate to the New York State Bar Association; and a long term member of the American Association for Justice.

Ms. LaFave was the recipient of the 2001 American Association for Justice Wiedemann Wysocki Citation of Excellence.

She is certified by the National Board of Trial Advocacy in Civil Trial practice.

Ms. LaFave was the Chair of the Albany County Judicial Qualifications Committee and a member of the American Board of Trial Advocates, and has received many, many other professional honors and positions.

Cynthia is a frequent speaker at Continuing Legal Education programs, and has been a speaker for the American Association for Justice, the New York State Trial Lawyer’s Association, the New York State Bar Association and Albany County Bar Association, to name just a few.

The LaFave Law Firm, PLLC, has also been featured in many news articles in local newspapers and featured on "Eye to Eye" with Connie Chung.
