They are looking for the man who shot a woman to death inside the Eastern Avenue Deli and Grocery late Friday night. Police have yet to release any video to the public that could identify the man who shot and killed 41-year old Laurel Teer. She lived on Union Street, not far from the store where she managed to get caught up in a robbery gone wrong. "She went into the store as a customer," said Schenectady Police Sgt. Eric Clifford. "She was there when a tall, black male, wearing an all black, hooded sweat-shirt, came in and attempted to rob the store. She interacted with him and he subsequently attempted to strike her in the head and the gun went off, hitting her in the head and she died of her injuries." Police dogs and a State Police helicopter searched the nearby Vale Cemetery after the shooting, but were not able to find the suspect.
