GREENVILLE – The Greenville Central School District is turning to remote learning, after a protest over masks in schools.

It’s for students in grades 6 through 12.

The district sent a letter to parents explaining the decision.

Dozens of students refused to wear their masks while in the school building.

The students were given the choice to complete schoolwork in the library unmasked, attend classes wearing their masks, or go home. The school district says many didn’t comply with any of the options.

Students will be fully remote through Friday, and next week is the winter break.
