Hudson festival keeps eager readers on the right page

HUDSON - It is one of the most exciting times of the school year for kids at Montgomery C. Smith School in Hudson.

There’s a big festival on Saturday. It’s expected to attract thousands. All of them have one thing in mind – finding a good book to read. The entire community is invited to not only to buy books buy also meet the authors.

Students say this emphasis on reading shows them reading is fun and makes them better readers.

The event is so popular they have to hold it at the high school just to accommodate the crowds.
