Albany Med nurses voting on unionization

Nurses at Albany Medical Center are voting Thursday and Friday on whether they should unionize through the New York State Nurses Association.

The debate turned intense last month, when Governor Andrew Cuomo directed the state Department of Labor to investigate allegations of threats being made.

A full-page ad was printed in the Times Union on Thursday morning supporting the union.

Albany Medical Center's nurses have voted on unionizing before, but the idea has always failed.
