Alcohol-related emergency room visits on the rise

Emergency room visits for alcohol-related illness is on the rise. That's according to new data from over 900 hospitals in 33 states.

There were 61-percent more hospitalizations from drinking in 2014 compared to 2006.

The increase was especially significant among women.

Recent studies have shown women are catching up to men in both overall alcohol use and binge drinking.
