Bennington hospital sees flu surge

Southwestern Vermont Medical Center in Bennington says it's experiencing a surge in flu and flu-like infections. It's now asking anyone with any flu or flu-like symptoms not to visit patients.

With the demand for flu shots high, one viewer contacted NewsChannel 13, concerned that CVS had run out. We contacted the state department of health. They say there are no known shortages of flu vaccine. We’re still waiting to hear back from CVS Corporate.

Meanwhile, the Department of Health suggests you use the vaccine finder to find a vaccine near you.
