Study: Kids raised by same-sex parents just as happy

New research suggests children raised by same-sex parents are just as happy as their peers.

Scientists at San Diego State University looked at more than 20,000 children. They found kids with lesbian, gay or bisexual parents had no more emotional or mental health problems than those with heterosexual parents.

Experts say more work is needed to prevent discrimination and provide support for sexual minority parents.
