BBQ Turkey Burgers with Jodie Fitz
1 pound ground turkey
½ cup whole wheat seasoned bread crumbs
½ cup Vidalia onions, finely chopped
¼ cup Sweet Baby Ray’s BBQ sauce
½ teaspoon onion powder
½ teaspoon garlic powder
½ teaspoon ground mustard
¼ teaspoon white pepper
¼ teaspoon sea salt
Mix all of the ingredients together thoroughly. Shape the mixture into four patties. Grill & serve!
Our favorite way to serve = on a FlatOut® Fold-it® with a drizzle of BBQ sauce, slice of fresh tomato, red onion & avocado.
FREEZE AHEAD TIP: Make the mixture & shape into patties. Place the uncooked burgers on to a baking sheet covered with parchment or waxed paper & pop them in the freezer for about an hour. Wrap each burger individually & place them in a freezer bag or other freezer container. Thaw the day you want to use them, grill & serve!
