Fried Shrimp

Kizzy Williams of Allie B's Cozy Kitchen in Albany joins Dan to whip up some delectable, crispy Fried Shrimp.

-About 30 shrimp (size: 51-60 per lb., deveined and shell removed)

-1 packet of Sazon  (by Goya)

-Punch of Adobo (by Goya)

-Punch of salt



Make sure to rinse shrimp thoroughly under running water at the outset to clean them. Spread shrimp out evenly on a sheet pan or similar surface. Sprinkle Sazon, Adobo and salt on top of shrimp. Mix shrimp so that seasoning spreads out over all surfaces of the seafood.

In a separate container pour a large amount of flour. Roll shrimp over in the flour. Then dip the shrimp back into the seasoned liquid that you created on the sheet pan. Roll shrimp over in the flour once again.

Drop shrimp into the heated oil (you can always test the oil to see if it is up to temp by dropping in a clump of flour and making sure to see it float, bubble and begin to fry). Fry for approximately 5 minutes.

Remove shrimp from oil and drain on a paper towel. Let cool and enjoy!
