ALBANY – Reading is essential for a child's success in school. But often, children face barriers that hinder their desire to read.

Access to books can be one of those barriers. So, SEFCU and software company Tyler Technologies donated books and book cases to Arbor Hill Elementary School.

“Literacy is one of the most important things we can have in our community in every way shape and form, so the little things we do everyday to get kids to read is really what matters,” said Ryan Smithson of Tyler Technologies.

Tyler Technologies also provides software to school districts, including a program to map out school bus routes to help save fuel.
