911 hang-up leads to arrest in Kinderhook

A 911 hang up ends with a Kinderhook man jailed and a woman hospitalized.

Jeffrey VanAlstyne, 58, is in the Columbia County Jail without bail.

State police were called after a woman was heard screaming in the background of that call.

They found her on McCagg Road.

Police have not released her name but say she was taken to Albany Medical Center due to the severity of her injuries, including several broken bones.
