Man hospitalized in Schoharie County trailer collapse

A man is in stable but serious condition at Albany Medical Center following a trailer collapse in Schoharie County.

At 10:51 p.m. Monday, the Jefferson Fire Department was dispatched to a collapsed single wide trailer with entrapment.

After about an hour, the man was successfully removed from the rubble and flown to the hospital.

Chief William Bivona tells NewsChannel 13 the trailer was under renovation and possibly being dismantled.

Schoharie County Search and Rescue and fire departments from Middleburgh, Central Bridge and Stamford, also assisted in the rescue.
