GERMANTOWN - Two cars collided in Germantown late Friday morning.

The Columbia County Sheriff's Department says 73-year-old Dirk Bambeck was pulling onto Hover Avenue from Dales Bridge Road around 11:40, when he hit a car driven by 31-year-old Dylan Torchia.

Firefighters had to extricate Bambeck. He was taken to Albany Medical Center with left side pain. Torchia received a cut on the arm.

The accident remains under investigation. Tickets are pending.
