A drug sale stretching from California to Columbia County is stopped, and now the accused seller is facing federal charges.

Eric McNeil was indicted Wednesday for conspiring to distribute more than 100 kilograms of marijuana in Columbia County.

Prosecutors say he used the postal service to send the drugs from California.

If convicted, he faces up to 40 years in prison and a $5 million fine.
