Albany Med staff to aid hurricane victims in Puerto Rico

ALBANY - Staff from Albany Medical Center have been deployed to Puerto Rico.

New York Gov. Andrew Cuomo ordered the mission to the hurricane-stricken island. An Albany Med physician, six nurses, a respiratory therapist and an emergency management specialist are part of a medical team from New York involving six hospitals.

More medical teams will be leaving for Puerto Rico later this month.
