No one is in custody after an Albany shooting at First and Quail streets on Wednesday evening. Two victims are expected to survive.

It’s believed at this point that they knew the shooter, said police.

Business owners near the shooting scene told NewsChannel 13 they’re frustrated by the ongoing violence.

“We’ve been here, this is our 80th year, and so we’ve seen it through all stages of good and bad in this city, and this block is plagued,” said Greg Aidala, with Quail Auto Sales. “We have a lot of pride in this city, and I know a lot of people do, but they’re getting fed up, so enough’s enough, like really. It’s enough talk. We need action.”

This comes at the same time a slashing at Madison Avenue and West Lawrence Street is also under investigation.

NewsChannel 13’s Stella Porter is following both and will have an update on the investigations starting Live at 4, and on WNYT.com.
