Work remains on schedule at site of last year's Albany sinkhole

ALBANY - Work continues on a construction and parking hotspot in Albany -- Elberon Place.

Crews are busy installing a manhole structure near the intersection of Elberon and Quail. The water commissioner tells NewsChannel 13 that the project remains on schedule.

The department is working with the police department to ease parking restrictions to a few hundred feet of the actual work zone. Tthat includes parts of Elberon, Quail and Lake.

Commissioner Joe Coffey says his department is still working on Thanksgiving as a deadline to see the project finished.

This spot has been in the news since a sinkhole opened up a year ago.
