Columbia County woman exonerated on animal neglect charges

UPDATE: Nussinow was cleared of the charges in December 2017.

CLERMONT - A Columbia County woman who was facing animal cruelty charges has been exonerated.

Andrea Nussinow is the owner and operator of Blue Star Farm in Clermont. State police said a veterinarian determined several horses in her care were emaciated and in poor health. Nussinow was accused of failing to give them water.

A grand jury has since found that she did not neglect the animals and declined to indict her on any charges.
