The Gloversville father accused of punching his infant son in the head went before a judge on Wednesday morning.
Andrew Allen remains behind bars. His next court appearance is set for October 18.
Police say Allen punched his infant son in the head and that the punch fractured the infant's skull.
The baby is still in critical, but stable condition at the hospital.
The child's mother told police she and Allen were fighting and says that's when the child was hit.
Police say the child may also have a broken clavicle in addition to the skull fracture.
