Man charged in Great Barrington assault

GREAT BARRINGTON, Mass. - Police have arrested the man they say tried to sexually assault a woman at a convenience store.

Andrew Gombar, 34, of Chatham faces numerous charges including assault with intent to rape.

The alleged incident happened January 7 at the Lipton Mart on Stockbridge Road.

The woman escaped and was able to call police.
