Bald eagle dies after flying into school bus

DUANESBURG - There were some scary moments on a Schoharie Central School District bus in Duanesburg late Monday morning.

Police say a bald eagle flew directly into the path of the bus.

It happened on I-88 west near mile marker 109.

The bus’s windshield was shattered.

No one on the bus was hurt. However, the bald eagle died.

The students were transferred to another bus.
