BENNINGTON, Vt. (AP) - The select board in a Vermont town is going to be meeting with representatives of the local rescue squad to hammer out funding for the coming fiscal year.

In a meeting on Tuesday, the Bennington Select Board appeared warm to the idea of including funding for the squad in the fiscal 2019 budget.

Rescue Squad Executive Director Forest Weyen says the group intends to request just over $207,000 from the town.

The Bennington Banner reports that Weyen said the squad has also revised its payment agreement for advanced life support services to nearby communities, including some in New York.
