There will never be another Whitney Houston. However, this week at Proctors in Schenectady, audiences are taking their seats with great expectations. The expectations are that the star of "The Bodyguard," the musical adaptation of the 1992 movie, will indeed be another Whitney.

Deborah Cox says she knew there would be huge expectations with the role and huge shoes to fill. Instead of performing the songs as a caricature of Whitney, she decided to perform the songs as she felt her character, Rachael Marron, would. It comes off sounding a lot like Whitney.

The Canadian recording artist and actress has had plenty of practice channeling the woman she calls one of her greatest influences. Cox previously recorded the vocals for a biopic on Houston and even recorded a duet with her. She often recalls her experiences with the icon before taking the stage.

The show packages some of the greatest hits from one of the greatest superstars for those who want to hear them again -- or hear them for the first time.
