Bridge to be named after fallen trooper

ALBANY -- A bill to name a bridge after a fallen New York State Trooper is on its way to Gov. Andrew Cuomo for his signature.

The Ballard Road bridge over the Northway will be named after Trooper Timothy Pratt. The 55-year-old from South Glens Falls was killed while helping a truck driver last fall.

Sen. Kathy Marchione from Halfmoon and Assem. Carrie Woerner from Round Lake ushered the bills through their chambers.
