Buzz Schneider dropping ceremonial puck at Thunder game

Buzz Schneider will be dropping the ceremonial puck at Saturday night's Thunder game versus Florida in Glens Falls.

Buzz Schneider, one of the heroes of the 1980 Miracle on Ice hockey team, will be in
Glens Falls Saturday night.

Schneider is going to drop the ceremonial puck at the Adirondack Thunder game against Florida.

He was a key offensive member on Team USA in Lake Placid.

Schneider scored five goals with three assists in seven games, which included the first goal scored for Team USA in their historic upset of the Soviet Union.

They won gold in their next game over Finland.

Northway Brewing is selling its special edition beer, Miracle on Ice Golden Ale. A portion of the sales benefiting the fundraising effort will go towards building a statue for the team in Lake Placid.

The Thunder will wear jerseys inspired by the 1980 Olympic sweaters worn 43 years ago.
