Mild weather a warm welcome to Capital Region golfers

Several Capital Region golf courses opened Tuesday. Superintendents and their teams of groundskeepers have been racing to get their courses ready.

At Fairways of Halfmoon, it's cart path only, while over at Town of Colonie, two of its four nines are open, but it's walking only.

Briar Creek over in Princetown is also opening Tuesday. The Mayor in Schenectady hits the ceremonial tee shot at Schenectady Muni Wednesday and it opens to the public on Thursday along with Saratoga National. Frear Park in Troy opens on Monday. Stadium topped them all. They opened a week ago Monday.
