Car found stuck along banks of Hudson River

RENSSELAER -- Mystery solved in Rensselaer.

NewsChannel 13 has been seeking answers after a gold Chevy Cruze was found stuck in the mud on the banks of the Hudson River Tuesday morning. A rope was tied to the rear wheel so it wouldn't float away or sink into the water.

Rensselaer police now say a couple of guys were fishing, and when the tide came in, their car got stuck in the sand and swamped by the water.

Police helped tow them out. No charges were filed.
