JOHNSTOWN - A woman is hit by a car while walking in Johnstown. Police say it happened outside Midway Grill on North Perry Street around 10:50 Thursday morning.
They say the driver, 87-year-old Mary Hart, failed to keep right at a bend in the road. She then crossed into oncoming traffic and hit 39-year-old Tonnia Johnson, along with a power pole.
Johnson was airlifted to Albany Medical Center. Hart was taken to Nathan Littauer Hospital by family for evaluation.
It's not clear what caused Hart to lose control.
