Catskill traffic stop leads to $2,000 in heroin

CATSKILL - State police say they found $2,000 in heroin during a traffic stop.

Brett Lauren-Kennedy and Justine Byrd were stopped on County Route 23B in Catskill for a traffic violation early Sunday morning.

Police say troopers saw drug paraphernalia in plain view and found the heroin.

The pair was sent to the Greene County Jail in lieu of bail.
