On Christmas, the child's mother was getting set to take the couple's three children to a relative's house. Troopers say Beougher grabbed her by the neck, pushed her up against the wall and onto the floor.

When she threatened to call police, he's accused of swatting the phone from her hand.

She and the children escaped.

Beougher faces several charges.
