Smoking blamed in deadly Clifton Park fire

CLIFTON PARK - Investigators have now identified the victim in Friday's deadly Clifton Park fire.

They say 41-year-old Jason Powers was killed at his home at 2 Merion Avenue Friday evening. An autopsy shows he died of smoke inhalation.

Powers' mom also lives in the home, but wasn't home at the time.

The fire is being called an accident and investigators say it was smoking related.
