Clifton Park group hopes to make land park space

CLIFTON PARK -- They won the vote. Now the group who won the day last week in Clifton Park says they want the school district and town to talk about turning those disputed woods into a park.

The Shenendehowa school board met for the first time Tuesday night since nearly 70 percent of the town rejected the sale of 34 wooded acres near the business district to a developer.

Instead, the group called "Friends of Clifton Park Open Space” say the hope the town can take over the land and formally make it park space.
