CLIFTON PARK -- That contentious vote over a parcel of wooded land in the business district is over.

Those in favor of preserving the entire parcel won. The vote wasn’t even close. There were more than 5,000 no votes to more than 2,000 yes votes.

That cancels a deal for the Shenendehowa School District to sell the 34 acres to a developer. Now those who want to preserve the wooded paths will attempt to acquire the land and turn it into a park.
