Code Blue shelter won’t be ready in time for freezing temps

October 11, 2017 04:33 PM

Saratoga Springs will not have a permanent Code Blue shelter by the time temperatures drop below freezing. Plans to build a cold-weather shelter for the homeless are tied up in court.

Backers of a new building say even if a judge rules in their favor, they won't have enough time to get it built and open for winter.

The shelter's executive director is talking with facilities around town, hoping they can find a temporary location again this year.
